17-Year-Old From Buffalo Charged After Shots Fired

Johnson City police say a 17-year-old has been arrested after shots were fired on Sanford Street near Ackley Avenue in the village.
According to police, as they were responding to the report of shots fired they located the suspect, and attempted to speak with him. The suspect then fled on foot through multiple back yards.
He was eventually taken into custody and found in possession of a loaded .32 caliber revolver and several expended shell casings.
He was identified as a 17-year-old from Buffalo.
He was transported to JCPD and held overnight pending his morning arraignment.
The suspect has been charged with Criminal Possession of a weapon in the second degree, and Criminal Use of a firearm in the second degree.
Police say this morning he was arraigned on those charged in the youth part of Broome County Court, then turned over to the custody of New York State Office of Children Family Services.
