Roberson Museum announces that there is a new exhibition opening in the first week of February and visitors just might be on the edge of their seats for it.

Beginning Friday, February 7th, the exhibition titled Please be Seated will debut at the museum. It features a collection of chairs spanning three centuries, including a golden upholstered chair dating back to 18th-century France and multiple pieces that were made in Binghamton. Guests will explore the historical significance, artistic expression, and refined craftsmanship of the chair.

The exhibit's opening is part of the First Friday Art Walk and will offer guests admission at half-price at $4 to view the exhibition from noon to 9 p.m. Officials ask that you do not sit on the chairs.
