One Dies After Apalachin House Fire

One person has passed away from their injuries following a fire that broke out at a home in Apalachin early Wednesday.
According to the Apalachin Fire Department, the fire was at a home in the 400 block of Main Street. When crews arrived, they immediately began working to find and rescue a victim that was reported to be trapped inside. The department says despite life-saving interventions, the female victim passed away from her injuries at the hospital.
Apalachin Fire Department, New York State Police, the Tioga County Sheriffs Office, Campville Fire Department, Owego Fire Department, Owego EMS, Tioga County Office of Emergency Services, and the Tioga County Fire Investigation Team all responded to the scene.
