Griffin Leads Binghamton Past M-E, Pats Clinch STAC Metro Title

The Binghamton High School boys basketball team earned a 79-68 win over Maine-Endwell Wednesday night.
Binghamton senior guard Zubayr Griffin led all scorers with 29 points. Derek Abu Jr. logged 16 points and Jah-lon Cook notched 13 points in the win for the Patriots.
Maine-Endwell was led in scoring by Marco Konrad, who poured in 25 points. Luka Ioannisci added 22 points for the Spartans while Preston Ocker chipped in 16 points in the loss.
With the win, Binghamton clinches the STAC Metro Division title. The Patriots are now 10-3 overall and 8-0 in STAC play. Maine-Endwell drops to 8-6 overall and 5-4 in the STAC.
