Binghamton Bulldogs Preparing for Battle of Unbeatens
The Binghamton Bulldogs are preparing for an important weekend of games.
The unbeaten Bulldogs will play the undefeated Buffalo eXtreme in a home-and-home series starting Saturday night.
"It's gonna be very gritty," said Binghamton guard Brent Williams.
The Bulldogs are 11-0 overall and ranked No. 5 in the latest ABA power rankings. The eXtreme are 14-0 overall and ranked No. 2 nationally.
"We can't help but see that they are No. 2 in the nation," said Binghamton guard Ralph Williams. "They are definitely a well put together team. Great guard play and they're pretty physical. We kind of matchup very similar. So it's gonna be chess bro, it's gonna be chess."
Saturday's game tips off at 7:05 p.m. at Bulldogs Sports Complex. The teams will then play again Sunday evening in Buffalo.
"Last year it was between Buffalo and (Binghamton) to go to the regional finals," said Binghamton head coach Vince Spruill. "They are the No. 2 team in the country for a reason. So two undefeated teams, New York, small markets, just ready to get after it two straight nights home-and-home."
