A Level II sex offender from Norwich was arrested and charged after the county sheriff's office says he failed to update his address.
According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, 52-year-old Travis S. Button is accused of not notifying the police jurisdiction he was residing in of his new address. The office adds that meant Button's whereabouts were unknown, which is a violation of the Correction Law in the state.
Button was arrested last Friday and charged with Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of Address Change. He's currently being held in the county correctional facility and is set to appear in court at a later date.
