Keathley Signs NLI To Play Football At Ithaca College
Another member of the 2023 Waverly State Champion Football Team signed his NLI on Wednesday to continue his football career at the collegiate level next season.
Kolsen Keathley would sign his NLI to join the Ithaca College football program, Keathley would play two seasons with Waverly after transferring from Athens (PA) and would play receiver, running back, kick returner, linebacker, and long snapper. With the Wolverines Keathley would pick up 17 touchdowns and over 1800 all purpose yards; on defense he would also have 150 total tackles and multiple interceptions. The future Bomber spoke on selecting Ithaca as his top spot to continue his football career.
"It just felt right," said Keathley. "Everything about it academics, athletics, campus is beautiful, I just I just loved it so I had to choose it."
Kolsen is the son of Mike Keathley who would have a successful college football career playing at TCU where he would make the TCU Athletics Hall of Fame as an offensive lineman. Keathley spoke on the impact his father has had on him and his football career.
"It's just been my dream to hopefully achieve what he achieved and my whole life I've just been working towards it." said Keathley. "I hope to be as great as he was one day, he's been a huge influence and inspiration for me and he's helped me along my journey every step of the way."
The Bombers would finish with a 6-4 record this past season.
