One person is injured after a crash involving a pedestrian earlier this month in Waverly.

According to Waverly Police, the crash occurred on January 4th just after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Chemung Street and Clark Street. Police say an 82-year-old woman failed to use the nearby crosswalk and was struck by a moving vehicle. Police add the driver was unable to avoid the collision.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment for reported serious injuries. The driver was not hurt.
