Second Person Arrested, Charged in Connection With Fatal 2024 Shooting
A second person has been arrested and charged in a shooting death last February in Broome County.
According to Binghamton Police, Tayshon Smith of Brooklyn was arrested on January 7th by United States Marshals service, Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force in Chesterfield, Virginia. Smith is wanted in connection with the shooting death of Qualyn Terry in February 2024. Smith was charged with Murder in the 2nd degree.
Smith remains in Virginia, awaiting extradition back to New York.
Smith is the second person to be arrested in connection with this case. Last week, 21-year-old Joziah Worthington of Endicott was charged with Murder in the 2nd degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, in connection with Terry's death.
