The Raymond Corporation is merging with Toyota Material Handling, but isn't changing as much as you would think.

The merger will not mean the removal of the Raymond signs on the over 100 year old location, continuing the commitment both companies have to maintaining the identity of the companies.

In a press release regarding the merger, Toyota also noted that a 50 million dollar investment will be given to factories around the country, including the location in Greene.

However, this will not result in a changes of employments for factory workers.

Michael Field, the CEO and President of the Raymond Corporation, will take over the role of Toyota Material Handling's Chief Operations Officer at the end of March.

"It's really the corporate entities of Raymond and Toyota material handling being put together. It will allow us to much more strategically approach the market. It will also get rid of duplication of effort, the products are evolving and changing, as the market changes. So it's a really good thing for all of us. But the bottom line is, is that, you know, there's really little changes on the factory front," Field said.
