Three Arrested, Charged After New Year's Eve Traffic Stop in Walton
Three people from Walton were all charged after a traffic stop on New Year's Eve 2024 in Walton.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, on December 31st, a vehicle with a taillight out and a non-functioning license plate light was observed. During the ensuing traffic stop, the occupants were identified as Aaron Howard, Courtney Condon and Joan Howard.
An investigation determined Aaron Howard and Condon had an active full stay away order of protection, protecting Joan Howard from them. All three were arrested and charged.
Joan Howard was charged with one count of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree and Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 2nd degree.
Aaron Howard was charged with one count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree, one count of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 2nd degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle with Knowledge of Being Suspended, Unlicensed Operator, No/Inadequate Lights, No/Inadequate Plate Lamps, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, and Driver’s View Obstructed.
Condon was charged with one count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree.
All three were issued appearance tickets and will appear in court at a later date.
