A Walton man has pleaded guilty to a child pornography possession charge in Delaware County.

According to the Delaware County District Attorney, 36-year-old Spencer Gransbury pleaded guilty to the charge of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child. Gransbury admitted he downloaded a photo of a child, approximately 10 years old, engaged in sexual conduct. He further admitted to having the picture for his own sexual gratification, according to the D.A.

In November 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cybertip of child sex abuse material being viewed with a phone number attached to it. An investigation by state police determined the number was that of Gransbury's phone.

Gransbury was sentenced to ten years of felony probation with sex offender's terms and conditions. The sex offender terms and conditions prohibit Gransbury from associating with any individual under the age of 18 without the direct supervision of an adult that is approved by the probation officer.

Additionally, he is prohibited from entering any place that children congregate, and all of his electronic devices will also be subjected to monitoring by the Delaware County Probation Department. Finally, Gransbury will also be required to register as a sex offender for at least 20 years.
