Teenager Sentenced After Firing at Residents, Building in August 2024
A teenager has been sentenced to half a dozen years behind bars on a weapons charge.
According to the Broome County District Attorney, Armony Murphy of Endicott was sentenced to six years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision on the charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.
The D.A. says in August 2024, Murphy began arguing with residents of 6 Catherine Street in the City of Binghamton. She then fired multiple rounds at the residents and the house. Police responded around 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 18th for a report of a fight and shots fired. Two casings were found in the road.
Murphy was later arrested at an Endicott location. In addition to the Criminal Possession charge, she was also charged with two counts of reckless endangerment at the time.
