An Endicott man is facing charges after state police say he stole over $9,000 worth of merchandise from two Walmart stores.

According to state police, Steven G. Warner was arrested on New Year's Eve 2024 and charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.

An investigation determined he stole over $5,000 worth of merchandise. Additionally, the vehicle he was operating had switched plates. Suspected illicit substances and what were believed to be other stolen goods were located inside the vehicle.

The investigation further determined the items in the vehicle had been stolen hours earlier from a Cobleskill Walmart around 3 p.m. The total of the amount taken more than $4,000.

On New Year's Day, Warner was turned over to troopers in Cobleskill and charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree for the crime in Cobleskill.
