Walsh Continues Strong Season for Bearcats
Gavin Walsh has been the unsung hero for the Binghamton men's basketball team.
The sophomore forward from Baltimore, MD is currently averaging a double-double for Binghamton with 10.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. His best performance of the season came in Saturday's win over UMBC when he logged 18 points and 17 rebounds to help the Bearcats win their America East opener.
"Just taking what's given to me," Walsh said after the victory over the Retrievers. "Offensively. Got it going early."
Walsh continued: "The rebounding, it's a team thing. I get it on the stats, but everyone's doing it. Everyone's boxing out, everyone's helping me. So it's all-around team effort, all-around."
Walsh has scored in double figures seven times during the 2024-2025 season while recording 10+ rebounds nine times. He set a program, single-game record when he hauled in 20 boards against Army on December 22.
