One Person Dead After Town of Conklin Shooting
UPDATE: The Broome County Sheriff's Office says one person is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting Friday morning.
According to the office, at around 10:45 a.m., members of the office and state police responded to a shooting incident involving a handgun at the Leslie Avenue residence.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second victim was taken to UHS Wilson Medical Center with serious injuries. The suspect was brought into custody successfully.

Dozens of law enforcement officers are at the scene of a shooting at 58 Leslie Ave., where the Broome County Sheriff's Office says multiple people have been shot with life-threatening injuries.
The victims have been taken to the hospital. Police say one person is in custody following the late morning shooting on January 3, 2025.
A Fox 40 News reporter at the scene says police have blocked off a portion of Leslie Ave. between Inamour and Suncrest Drives in the town of Conklin.
Members of the Broome County Sheriff's Department and New York State Police responded to the incident.
