Bearcats Women's Basketball Drops First Conference Game Against NJIT
Binghamton would be halted to just four points in the fourth quarter and be unable to find any points in the final six minutes of the contest to drop their first America East conference game of the season to NJIT 58-49.
The Bearcats would be up 49-46 early in the fourth quarter before the Highlanders would go on a 12-0 run in the final six minutes to find their first conference win of the year to improve to 4-10. Binghamton falls to 0-1 in the America East and 8-6 overall.
Yanniah Boyd would lead the Bearcats in points with 15 and Kendall Bennett also added 12 for the two top scorers for Binghamton on Thursday night., Binghamton would only be able to hit one shot from beyond the arc going 1-11 whereas the Highlanders would go 8-25.
Binghamton will now look to find their first conference win of the season on Saturday taking on UMBC at 2 P.M. down in Baltimore.
