Fitness is the most popular new years resolution goal,

And over a third of resolutions are related to fitness --such as losing weight and getting healthy.

That's something Court Jester House of Fitness front desk employee Marcus Hnyon knows first hand.

"January 1st you're definitely gonna be the busiest. That's when everyone's going to want to start again. The gym, you know, start that resolution. Probably I would say a couple hundred at least. And I think less than 100 actually make it through after that first month, even that first two weeks," Hnyon said.

Robert Eichelsderfer, a personal trainer with over 30 years of experience, encourages newcomers to not have too high of expectations when beginning their fitness journey.

"I think a lot of people come in and they just do too much, and they want to spend too much time. Most people don't have an hour or two hours every single day. Come in. Keep it short, keep it sweet. Don't let it interfere with too much of your regular, normal life, try to make it a lifestyle," Eichelsderfer said.
