Three Dead After Tioga County Head-On Crash
New York State Police say three people have passed away and two others were injured after a head-on crash on December 20th.
According to state police, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. on State Route 34 in the town of Barton. Police say a Toyota Highlander was traveling north on 34 when it crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a Cheverolet Silverado that was traveling south.
Police say the driver of the Silverado, 68-year-old Gary Sinsabaugh of Athens, PA and a rear-seat passenger in the Highlander, 41-year-old Carlos M. Lorenzo from the Bronx were pronounced deceased on the scene. Police add another rear-seat passenger in the Highlander, 38-year-old Sabrina M. Surita of Manahawkin, New Jersey was transported to a Sayre, PA hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries.
Police say the driver of the Highlander, 42-year-old Janesa Lorenzo from the Bronx was taken to a hospital in Sayre in critical condition. The front-seat passenger, 56-year-old Delroy A. Christie from the Bronx was taken to the Sayre hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
