Binghamton Patrol Officer Suspended After Courtside Video Shared on Social Media
A Binghamton patrol officer has been suspended without pay, after a surveillance video of an incident that occurred at Courtside Bar and Grill this weekend surfaced on social media.
On Friday night, emergency services responded to 56 Court Street in Binghamton for a report of a subject on fire.
When they arrived they found three people injured. One 20-year-old female had sustained serious physical injury.
An investigation determined that the patrons were provided a beverage by the establishment that is lit on fire prior to being served. During the process of this, the beverage combusted causing a large spurt of fire.
A 28-year-old from Vestal has also subsequently been charged following the investigation.

Over the weekend, a video of the surveillance footage was posted to the social media site, Reddit.
People can be heard in the background of the video reacting to the footage.
Binghamton Mayor, Jared Kraham releasing a statement:
"The Binghamton Police Department’s Office of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into the unauthorized sharing of video evidence from the Dec. 27 fire at 56 Court St., subsequently posted on social media.
