12th Annual First Knight Event Returns to Bring in the New Year
The first knight event returns for its 12th year in the Village of Windsor, bringing an evening of fun events to celebrate the new year and holiday season.
The first knight event starts on December 31 at 7 p.m., with 10 locations throughout the town hosting events.
This includes face painting, bounce houses, raffles, and much more.
There will also be a bonfire with s'mores and each location will have food and beverages.
The entire event, including food, drinks, and raffle entries, is free to the public.
A shuttle bus system will run loop routes starting at Windsor High School.
First Knight Director Elaine Card says, "I believe that it's such a good event where the community comes together and people come from all over, I mean, really seriously, all over. And because of the cost not being there and the fact that it's alcohol-free and you can come and go as you please and you can do what you want to do, I think that's very enticing for most people. It's very friendly. It's a friendly event and there's a lot to do and a lot to see. You can't do it all. It's not possible, "
The event will end shortly after the ball drops at midnight.
