Brooklyn Man Pleads Guilty to Vehicular Assault Charge After March 2023 Crash
A Brooklyn man has pleaded guilty to a vehicular assault charge stemming from a crash in March 2023.
According to the Delaware County District Attorney, Andras Kasuba pleaded guilty to the charges of Aggravated Vehicular Assault and Driving While Intoxicated. These charges come after a crash in March 2023 on Highway 26 north of Gregory Hollow Road.
The D.A. says three people had to be extracted by helicopter due to the serious physical injuries they sustained in the crash. Kasuba was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash. The D.A. says it was determined that Kasuba was intoxicated at the time and had caused the crash. He had a blood alcohol content of 2.5 times the legal limit.
The case was adjourned pending sentencing and Kasuba was remanded to the custody of the Delaware County Sheriff.
