The Williams Auto Group helps the YMCA of Broome County with a check donation during the holiday season.

The YMCA received a check for $10,000 to go towards general operations and programming.

Williams Auto members toured the Johnson City branch, checking out the pool, the workout room, and several other rooms at the facility.

YMCA management said the funding from community partners like Williams goes a long way to serving those who come to the y seeking assistance.

Williams Auto Group Vice President Dalton Williams says, "As we walked through the building and see the different types of people, the smiles, the community, and the conversation. That's really what our core values are all about and thats why we choose to support the YMCA."

YMCA Fund Development Director Preston Evans says, "Funding like this is critical to us. We need to raise funding in order to help us. A lot of the funding that we receive goes towards our financial assistance program. Just last year, we gave away $363,000 in financial assistance because we do not believe that anybody should be turned away because of an inability to pay for a program."
