A Maine-Endwell High School student is facing charges after making a school threat on social media Tuesday.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, members were alerted to the threat posted Tuesday morning on the social media platform Snapchat. Detectives located the owner of the account within minutes of the report being made and after an investigation, charged the 15-year-old female student with Making a Threat of Mass Harm.

In a statement provided by the sheriff's office, Superintendent Van Fossen says at no time were students, faculty, or staff in any danger.
