The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says a 26-year-old woman was arrested last week following an investigation into a larceny complaint at a Village of Sherburne business.

During the investigation, the office says it was determined that Kayla Van Pelt took property from the business without paying for it. She was arrested without incident, processed and charged with Petit Larceny, and released on an appearance ticket, and will appear in court at a later date.

This arrest comes only a few weeks after Van Pelt was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny and Conspiracy after she and two others stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from another Sherburne business.
