A Margaretville man knows his fate after receiving his prison sentence for a drug charge to which he pleaded guilty in October.

According to the Delaware County District Attorney, Dennis A. Fickeria was sentenced to four and a half years in state prison on the charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. Back in January, a search warrant was executed at Fickeria's residence on Jones Hollow Road in Margaretville. Controlled substances and firearms were seized.

When Fickeria pleaded guilty in October, he admitted that he possessed fentanyl with the intention of selling it.

In addition to the prison sentence, he was sentenced to be supervised by the Department of Parole for one year following his sentence, and U.S. currency that was seized from Fickeria will be used to provide resources to police and prosecutors to remove more drugs from Delaware County.
