Binghamton Volleyball's Ilieva Named To AVCA All-Region First Team
Binghamton Volleyball outside hitter Tsvetelina Ilieva earned her third conseuctive America Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region honor on Tuesday morning. Ilieva was named Honorable Mention each of the previous two seasons but this year would be recognized with a First-Team nod.
Ilieva would be the first Bearcat in the program's history to receive All-Region back in 2022, the fifth-year outside hitter is coming off her third straight America East conference Player of the year. Ilieva also would take a First Team All-Conference and All-Academic honors as well this season.
The Bulgarian would finish her final regular season with a conference best 5.7 points and 4.8 kills per set in conference play as well as rank eighth with a .251 hitting percentage.
During her final season as a Bearcat, Ilieva would set a new program record shattering the single-season kills record with 535 this past year. Ilieva also ranks third in Bearcat history with 1,309 kills in a Binghamton uniform.
