Greene Woman Charged After Cats Removed from Home
A Greene woman is facing over 20 charges after New York State Police say 21 cats were removed from a Chenango County home in November.
According to state police, 73-year-old Patricia M. Crossman was arrested and charged with 21 counts of Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance. Crossman was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in court on the 18th.
Her charges come after investigators were advised of a possible animal cruelty case at a State Route 206 residence on November 12th. The cats were removed a day later. The cats were living in deplorable conditions both within the home and in surrounding buildings on the property. They will be receiving further medical care from the Susquehanna SPCA.
