Henry's Three-Point Night Lifts Black Bears Over Danbury
Black Bears rookie Khaden Henry would be the key contributor in Binghamton's 3-2 win over Danbury at the Arena on Wednesday night; Henry would pick up a point on all three goals with two goals and an assist.
Henry would score the first two goals of the contest; the first coming with assists from Christopher Mott and Dan Wieber and the second coming from a breakout pass courtesy of Jesse Anderson.
Despite Danbury cutting the lead to a 2-1 game in the second period, Binghamton would respond with what would eventually be the game winning goal just 22 seconds later as Tyson Kirkby would knock in the rebound off of a Henry shot that would make it 3-1 Black Bears.
The Hat Tricks would be able to find the back of the net short-handed 11:06 into the second period but after that Connor McAnanama would be stellar in goal finding 12 saves in the third to give them another win this season to improve to 8-2-1-2-1 and be currently at the top of the Empire Division with 31 points.
Binghamton now gets set to begin a home and home series with the Watertown Wolves this weekend which will begin up in Watertown on Friday at 7:30.
