Thanksgiving in Broome County: Fox 40 Hits the Streets of Downtown Binghamton to See What the Holiday Means to Locals
Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and reflect on everything around you and Fox 40 hit the streets of Binghamton to see what people are most looking forward to this holiday.
When it came to many people's favorite part of the holiday, the most popular answer was getting together with family and loved ones.
"Most of the family was in India, so you get to see all my family friends this time of year and I'm the youngest. So they're all graduating. They go do their own things. So it's nice to all get together once, once a year," Ananya Paruvangada said.
Many people also mentioned many traditions and memories like certain songs and music being played and cooking with family members.
"My dad always used to put on Perry Como's bless this house. And we would stand around the table and like we would never make it through it without crying. And we still do that since his passing," Owner of Mabel D. Orr Boutique Heidi Weeks said.
Of course, we had to ask what they were thankful for this year.
"I'm thankful for most this year is definitely just the Binghamton community. They've definitely supported the shop this past year. I wouldn't be here without them," Owner of Three of Cups Candle Co. Logan Cyper said.
