It may be Thanksgiving time, but the Festival of Lights is getting ready for a busy weekend as it's hosting two popular family events over at Otsiningo Park

On Friday night, the Festival of Lights will be hosting its annual fireworks show starting at 7 p.m. Customers will get to see over $20,000 worth of fireworks on display, marking the festival's largest firework show in its five years of existence.

Then Saturday night marks the festival's first Santa night of the year for families and kids to take pictures with.

"Seeing the kids since they get out of the car, we allow the people to get out of their car depending where they're parking and looking up into the sky, watching the excitement of the kids especially. So that's Friday night," Event Director Dave Pessagano said. "Saturday night. It's got to be watching those first few kids get sitting with Santa and giving them their wish list and watching out, You know, some of the newborns that come in that are with them. It's our first picture, whether they're newborns or a little bit of the older kids that love to come in. That's my favorite part."
