Local Vendors, Shoppers Take Part In Thanksgiving Farmers Market
Local vendors and shoppers took part in a pre-Thanksgiving farmers market Tuesday night in Binghamton.
The Broome County Regional Farmers Market played host to more than 20 vendors who had their good on display for hundreds of shoppers just two days before the Thanksgiving holiday.
"I think shopping locally is wonderful," said Sue Symonette, who owns Windsor-based Butter Me Up! Bakery. "It gives us a chance to see what's happening in our community. We've got a lot of great vendors here who are sourced locally, and that in turn helps support the community even more. And and it gives our shoppers the chance to get some last minute goodies for their Thanksgiving meal."
Items that were for sale included fresh produce, baked goods, and various other foods.
