Local Film "Reset" Getting Ready to Premiere to Southern Tier this Weekend
Local director Michael Yammine and his team are premiering their new independent film "Reset" this Friday for the Southern Tier to see.
The film is a science fiction about a father whose daughter is taken by a creature and he is fighting for his life to get her back. A good amount of reset was shot locally, including over on Bean Hill Road in Endicott.
The film won 5 awards at Amazing Fantasy Fest in Buffalo, including best film, amazing special effects and makeup, and amazing female performance.
"What makes this film different is that it's not just like this redundant, like there's laser blasters and alien creatures and what have you. It's thought provoking. There's a lot of thematic elements in this film," Yammine said. "There's a lot of human emotion. It's heavy. It has its twists and turns, as Tim mentioned, and most importantly, it's relatable to everybody. In fact, people who watch it will probably walk away with different versions of the film in their mind based on their experience."
"Reset" will premiere this Friday and Sunday at the Cider Mill stage at 7:30 p.m
