Binghamton Police are investigating after two incidents where shots were fired and a teenager was injured in Binghamton on Sunday.

According to the Binghamton Police Department, at approximately 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning, police responded to the area of 161 Laurel Avenue for a report of shots fired. A shooting scene was located at 68 Thorpe Street, where a residence was struck by gunfire a total of four times. Four .45-caliber casings were found in the roadway. No one was injured and there is no suspect description at this time.

Police add there was another incident Sunday evening, in which a teenager was injured by gunfire.

According to police, around 11:20 Sunday evening, officers responded to the rear parking lot of 100 Susquehanna Street near Building D for a report of a male with a gunshot wound. A 16-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

He was taken to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. A total of four .45-caliber casings were found at the scene. There is no suspect description at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
