Sayre, PA Man Accused of Stealing Fuel From Waverly Central School District Vehicles

The Waverly Police Department says a Pennsylvania man was arrested and charged in July after an investigation into a gasoline larceny.
According to the department, the investigation involved fuel taken from vehicles belonging to the Waverly Central School District, which were parked inside a construction area at the high school. John J. Robbins of Sayre, PA was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree and Petit Larceny.
He is accused of drilling holes into two fuel tanks and stealing the fuel from the tanks. Police say the estimated amount of the fuel taken was $224.70, and the estimated damage and labor cost was reported at $2,813.40.
