Coming in at number 26 is Jerry D'Amigo!

D'Amigo was once dubbed an American Hero by the Hockey News but long before that, Jerry was just a Johnson City Wildcat. When Jerry was five, a neighbor by the name of Jim Tofte, who was an AHL linesman, bought him his first hockey stick and the rest was history. D'Amigo's talent was undeniable and the former Junior Iceman and then Junior Senator quickly garnered looks from scouts across the country before he was representing his country.

For two seasons from 2007 to 2009, D'Amigo played in the US National Team Development Program, scoring 13 goals and 18 assists in 55 games and helping the USA win a gold medal at the International Ice Hockey Federation World U18 Championships. One year later, D'Amigo represented the US at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, scoring six goals and six assists in seven games, the second most on the gold-winning team. In the final, Jerry both scored a goal and dished out an assist in the final period.

After that, D'Amigo went on to play at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he dropped 34 points in 35 games for nearly one point a game, ranking fifth in the country among rookies in the category.

D'Amigo was drafted in the sixth round by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2009, ultimately making his NHL debut in the 2013-2014 campaign when he played 22 games with one goal and two assists. D'Amigo would end up playing 31 NHL games and 361 AHL games in his career while also playing four seasons in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, the highest division in German Ice Hockey. D'Amigo was also the 2010 Press and Sun-Bulletin Athlete of the Year.

For his dominance at the junior ranks, helping Team USA to a pair of Gold Medal finishes then being the second Broome County resident to sign a pro contract in the NHL and continuing to play hockey to this day all while being a former Johnson City Wildcat, Jerry D'Amigo comes in at number 26 on Fox 40's Top 40.
