A Frankfort man is charged with DWI, among other charges after state police say he was found behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle.

According to state police, on Thursday, June 27th, state police at Sidney responded to Jericho Road in Bainbridge for a report of a suspicious male and vehicle parked in a driveway. Police say the man didn't belong at the residence.

Troopers could smell an odor of alcohol while they were attempting to interview the driver, who was uncooperative. An investigation revealed the driver was Jacob T. Roach of Frankfort. Further investigation determined the vehicle Roach was in had been stolen out of Binghamton.

Roach was charged with the following:

  • DWI
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd degree
  • Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree
  • Obstructing Emergency Medical Services
