The state Department of Transportation says motorists should be aware of overnight lane closures on Interstate 81 and State Route 17 beginning this weekend.

The DOT says starting on Sunday, June 23rd, motorists can expect nightly single and occasional double lane closures at the junction of Interstate 81 northbound and State Route 17 westbound for concrete repairs. These closures will be from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

This work is supposed to last until July 28th, weather permitting. Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions. Motorists are advised to allow for more travel time if they are passing through this area.
