A Sidney man pleaded guilty Monday to a Criminal Contempt charge that came after an order of protection violation last December.
According to the Delaware County District Attorney, on December 13, 2023, police responded to a call reporting a violation of an order of protection by David J. Louden. The call reported to police that the victim was alerted by a child that Louden was knocking on the front door around 2:45 a.m. Louden was barred from having contact with either the victim or the child.
Louden fled the scene before police arrived. In January, he was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree. Louden is scheduled to be sentenced in July. It is expected that Louden will be placed on probation supervision.
