The Binghamton Rumble Ponies drop their season opener as New Hampshire comes from behind in a 5-2 win.

The Ponies' biggest highlight was Joander Suarez who pitched five innings of shutout ball, striking out six.

Binghamton would open the scoring in the bottom of the first off of an RBI double by Alex Ramirez which would allow Jett Williams to score for the Ponies. The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the fifth when Binghamton would double their lead courtesy of a home run by Jose Peroza.

The Fisher Cats would even things back up with a two-run shot of their own in the top of the sixth and would not trail the rest of the way, adding one run in the 7th and two more in the 9th to find their first win of the year.

Binghamton is back in action for game two against New Hampshire on Saturday at 1:05 P.M. at Mirabito Stadium. For tickets, you can visit the box office at the stadium, call the box office at (607)-722-3866, or visit their website.
