Next week, the Binghamton Black Bears will wear throwback "Binghamton Whalers" jerseys featuring the iconic Whalers "B" logo on Hall of Fame night.

The Black Bears X/Twitter account posted a video showcasing the jersey.

Hall of Fame night is Saturday, April 6th as the Bears host the Danbury Hat Tricks for Bingo's penultimate home regular season contest. During a pregame ceremony, at approximately 7 pm, former Binghamton Senators coach Kurt Kleinendorst and former arena public address announcer Steve Shimer will be inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame. For that story, go here.

The Binghamton Whalers existed from 1980 to 1990 as the Hartford Whalers American Hockey League affiliate. From 1984 to 1988, they were also the Washington Capitals AHL affiliate. During the Whalers' tenure in Binghamton, they made the playoffs seven times in 10 years. Notably, the team also produced the worst season in AHL history with an 11-60-9 mark, an AHL record for most losses at the time.  The Whalers left the next season and the Binghamton Rangers took their place and became the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers. The Bears are on the road for their next three games as part of a five-game road trip. Binghamton returns home on Friday, April 5 to take on the Hat Tricks for a weekend series. The jerseys will be worn for the Saturday game. After that series, there will be only one more home game in the regular season for the Bears on Saturday, April 13 against Elmira to end the regular season.

Binghamton clinched the Empire Division last weekend against Watertown and will have home-ice advantage through the first two rounds of the playoffs.
