Twin Tier Elite is a girls AAU basketball program looking to provide a close to home bask4etball team for girls in the Southern Tier to continue to develop their skills.

"We are trying to give our student athletes here in our area an opportunity to have exposure to AAU without having to travel," said Associate Program Director Scott Youngs.

For the girls involved like Emma Rondeau, she says that her joining has allowed to create new relationships with girls in the area.

"Lifelong friendships," said Rondeau. "Coach is great and I have heard really good things about him".

Rondeau is part of the seventh grade team at Twin Tier Elite, and head coach Bill Carnegie says he is looking to have his team ready to compete and take the next step in their development whether that be in high school or college.

"We want to instill, you know, the discipline and the dedication so that they're ready and they can kind of climb within our program and take that next step," said Carnegie.

The best person who can confirm his coaching style being his daughter Maisey who also plays on the team.

"he definitely goes harder on me than anyone else, but it is just making me better."

With that competitive coaching drive, it is being passed along to other girls on the team such as Eva Crawford, who has not been playing for very long and is looking to accelerate her development.

"Before I started playing Twin Tier I only started a year earlier," said Crawford. "I thought it would be a good idea and it would help me with school and if I wanted to play in college."

Overall though, Coach Carnegia says he just wants to not only make his team better athletes, but even better people as well.

"Being good people," said Carnegie. "Being respectful and hopefully that carries on".
