Six of the seven Binghamton City Council members were sworn into the Binghamton City Council on the morning of January 1st, 2024, at Binghamton City Hall.

Democrats Olamni Porter, Kinya Middleton, and Robert Cavanaugh represent the First, Second, and Third city districts of Binghamton.

Democrats Nate Hotchkiss, Hadassah Mativetsky, and Michael Dundon hold the Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh city district chairs.

"For me, it is about representing the residents of our district and really building those relationships in our respective districts, as well as learning about the different topics, the broader topics that stretch across all the different districts. So in my case, my district is pretty residential, so my interests are primarily residential issues," Mativetsky said.

Six of the seven council seats are now held by Democrats.
