The Binghamton Rotary club donates over two thousand dollars this holiday season, to help keep kids warm.

Tuesday, the club donated $2,580 to Locker Room 345.

This nonprofit works through a partnership with the Binghamton University Foundation to provide basic clothing necessities to area students and families. They work to provide these items within 48 hours of being requested.

This winter, Locker Room 345 set a goal to provide 1,500 for those in the area.

"We've been giving not only just coats, but clothing and shoes and just basic clothing needs to students and families, and kids that are really struggling," said Kim Myers, B.U.S. Bucks Board Member. "And they need these basic clothing items just for their daily lives. Much less if you're a kid and you're in school, your self-esteem and self worth matters a lot about how you do in school."

Binghamton Rotary's donation will provide 129 coats for those in need.
