Lloyd O. Jackson Post 692 of the American Legion held a remembrance ceremony at 10:55 a.m. this morning, the same time the attack on pearl harbor occurred.

The veterans spoke of times in the service and said prayers for the lost soldiers.

10 local veterans participated in the ceremony, which included a rifle volley and dropping a biodegradable wreath in the river.

"A lot of veterans have given their time to keep in this country safe and free for Americans. Not everybody came back. So we're here to honor those that didn't. " Larry Bourque, Commander.
