It's signing season! One of Johnson City's own signed her National Letter of Intent to play hoops at the DI Level.

Marisa Smith, a big for the Wildcats basketball team made her commitment to Binghamton University official earlier Thursday. Smith is a two-time all-state selection and led the Wildcats to a STAC Metro Title this past winter. Smith says the opportunity to represent her hometown at the collegiate level was a big reason why she picked the Bearcats.

"I mean, I've worked my whole life for this moment," Smith said. "So to be able to see it pay off and continue to do what I love and represent my hometown at the same time is a great feeling. I mean, the fans here have supported me through every stage of my life, so being able to continue to control them for the next four years is going to be going to be really special."

Smith will continue her high school basketball career in just a few short weeks and once at BU will major in Education.
