Senior WARS Competition at Broome-Tioga BOCES Continues to Grow
Seniors tested their skills at Broome-Tioga BOCES annual WARS competition.
The day-long competition held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, allowed students in six programs to showcase months of work.
WARS began three years ago with food wars and cosmo wars, as culinary and cosmetology seniors squared off against their classmates. The event has continued to grow.

Heavy equipment repair & operations students faced off in an equipment rodeo, graphic design students competed in a poster war showdown and video production students had a short film contest based on the theme of a chance encounter.
Ryan Forbidussi took home the top prize with his film "The Interview" about waking up late to an alarm. Forbidussi will be going to Ithaca College this fall to study video production. He said the
WARS day concluded in the gymnasium, where winners were announced.
