A Binghamton woman will spend three to six years in New York State Prison after pleading guilty to Arson in the 3rd degree.
The Broome County District Attorney's Office says, 42-year-old Christine S. Holton admitted that on November 9, 2022, she intentionally set fire inside an apartment at 5 Edwards Street in the City of Binghamton after a dispute with other tenant. There were no injuries, and the structure was saved.
Holton has a prior felony conviction for Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.
“Defendant Holton, a repeat offender, put the lives of other tenants and firefighters at risk, and therefore a State prison sentence is appropriate,” said Michael A. Korchak, Broome County District Attorney
