Binghamton Drug Dealers Headed to State Prison

In Broome County Court, Sean A. Haynes, 33 of Binghamton, entered a plea of guilty to felony Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
On the 3rd of September 2021, as part of a narcotics investigation, Haynes was stopped by Binghamton Police in the vicinity of State and the Eldredge Streets.
Haynes had over 1/8th of an ounce of cocaine and $1,506 in cash.
Haynes has a prior felony conviction from 2008 for Attempted Rape in the Second Degree. He will be sentenced on the 4th of November 2022, to 3 years in New York State prison followed by 2 years post-release supervision.
Also in Broome County Court, Dustin M. Farrell, 36 of Binghamton, entered a plea of guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
On the 7th of January 2022, Farrell possessed a quantity of methamphetamine with the intent to sell it. The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at Farrell’s residence located at 189 Murray Street in the City of Binghamton.
Police recovered 21.7 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, and packaging materials.
Farrell will be sentenced to 2 years in New York State prison plus 2 years post-release supervision on the 26th of October 2022.
