Fatality Reported in Head-On Collision on Vestal Parkway
UPDATE: FOX 40 has confirmed two people died after a two-car crash Monday night on the Vestal Parkway.
According to Vestal Police Department, a vehicle driven by Stephen Moran of Binghamton was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of Route 434 when it collided head-on with a vehicle occupied by Alfred and Paula Latissa of Johnson City.
Alfred Latessa was pronounced dead at the scene. Paula Latessa was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital.
She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Moran was taken to Wilson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

FOX 40 has confirmed reports that Monday night's two-car crash on the Vestal Parkway was fatal.
511NY confirmed by email the crash was fatal. The email went on to say that information was supplied and confirmed by responding personnel on the scene of the crash and that an incident was then posted on 511NY.

Multiple people were transported to local hospitals after a head-on motor vehicle collision on the Vestal Parkway.
Around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, August 8th, FOX 40 staff were made aware of an accident that occurred outside of the studio along the parkway.
Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, and were found on opposite sides of the median when first responders arrived.
According to a press release from the Vestal Police Department, officers located a male and a female who had sustained serious injuries.
The driver of a black SUV left his vehicle and was transported by Vestal Emergency Services, while the driver of the other vehicle had to be rescued by emergency personnel due to entrapment.
The Vestal Police Department was assisted by members of the Vestal Fire Department, Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad, SUNY Binghamton Police Department, New York Department of Transportation, and the Broome County Sheriffs Accident Reconstruction Team.
